About the webinar:
This webinar introduces Ontario parents and caregivers to the Disability Tax Credit (DTC) — a federal tax measure that may offer meaningful financial support to families raising children with learning disabilities, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental conditions.
Presented in partnership with the Learning Disabilities Association of Ontario (LDAO), the webinar helps families understand how the DTC works, how learning and attention-related disabilities may meet eligibility criteria, and what’s involved in completing the application. The session also explores related benefits such as the Registered Disability Savings Plan (RDSP), the Child Disability Benefit (CDB), and allowable medical expenses.
This webinar will help parents:
- Understand the CRA’s definition of disability and how it applies to LDs and ADHD
- Become familiar with key sections of Form T2201 (DTC Certificate)
- Recognize how learning and executive functioning challenges may meet DTC criteria
- Clarify the educator’s role in supporting families during the application process
- Learn about connected supports such as the RDSP and CDB
